What makes Kingsmouth - A Dark Fantasy and Cosmic Horror Campaign Setting for 5E unique and differentfor a simple Mythos adaptation?

Kingsmouth is not just a Mythos-themed campaign setting mixture at all —i. e. while the known Sandy Petersen’s Cthulhu Mythos may be compatible in some part, Kingsmouth is different in a unique way.

It has been designed from a deep understanding of both dark fantasy environments and Lovecraft’s works to create an original setting in a human world (no elves, dwarfs, orcs…) threatened by a corrupt nature and terrible horrors.

A careful rule-integrating worldbuilding effort has achieved that dangerous adventures, dark magic and rituals, unique human culture, new backgrounds, religions and cults, Cthulhu Mythos, the sick Weave that will make you “pay the prize of magic”, corruption, the new Anguish rules… Everything is connected with evocative precision.

I like Kingsmouth. How do I get rewards with my pledge?

You can contribute to this project by choosing a pledge level (from Digital edition pledge level to the complete Deluxe pledge level). You will get different rewards after funding of the project. They are described in each level.

What are stretch goals?

After Kingsmouth get funded thanks to Backers support, if we reach more funding we will expand Kingsmouth to make the best edition possible. Stretch goals are special rewards for Backers that will add content and add-ons to their rewards depending on the pledge levels.

How do I choose the language of my edition?

Some days after the campaign ends we will open de Pledge Manager. There Backers will be able to choose the language.

What will the whole process from the time I pledge until I receive Kingsmouth?

During the campaign you can support Kingsmouth with the pledge level you may like. When the campaign ends, Kickstarter will charge Backers and collect funds for Kingsmouth. 3-4 weeks (aprox.) after, the Pledge Manager will open to allow Backers check the shipping address, pay shipping costs, and manage their Pledges if the want. During first quarter 2024 the digital editions (PDFs) will start to be sent to Backers. Then production will start. All pledges will be shipped worldwide and backer will have their rewards in 9-11 months after Kingsmouth Kickstarter campaign ends.

What are the shipping costs and how do I pay them?

Shipping costs are available in the “Shipping” section of the campaign. These are preliminary costs based on our experience and consultations with our logistics partners at the time of opening the campaign. Shipping costs will be updated and paid in the Pledge Manager, but we expect them to remain the same or vary little.

Can I add more items to my contribution?

Backers will be able to add add-ons and more copies of campaign items during the Pledge Manager. Even some stretch goals will be available.

Can I change or improve my contribution level during the campaign?

Yes, you can. Backers can change their contribution level during the campaign with the options provided by Kickstarter. See “manage my pledge”.

Can I improve the level of my contribution after the campaign?

Yes. In the Pledge Managers backers will have a last chance to improve their pledge level.

I can't contribute at the moment but I want Kingsmouth, can I get it after the campaign?

After Pledge Manager opens there will be a chance to get some of the items of the Kingsmouth campaign in the pre-order store section. However, item price may vary.

What is Pledge Manager and how does it work?

The Pledge Manager is a platform with the guarantee offered by our partner Backerkit for the management after the campaign. Backers will be able to add or update their shipping addresses, pay shipping costs, download PDF versions of their rewards and add add-ons among other functions.

Pledge Manager will open 3-4 weeks (aprox.) after the campaign ends. Backers will receive an email with an invitation link to enter. Any backer not receiving this email can contact us to solve any possible issue.

If I contribute at the “No Reward” level, can I later upgrade my pledge level or access add-ons?

Yes, you can do this at any time during the campaign in the “Manage my contribution” options provided by Kickstarter. After the campaign, during the Pledge Manager, you will also be able to.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
